Our story
Before Docubark, we ran a professional services firm doing outsourced TPRM assessments and staff augmentation for security and GRC teams. We sat inside these programs. We did the assessments. We felt the pain of chasing vendors, waiting on SMEs, and managing a queue that never got shorter.
When AI tools started maturing, we did what any team would do — we started using them to make our own work faster. What began as internal tooling quickly turned into something customers wanted access to. So we built it properly.
But the product wasn't the only reason we started Docubark. Over years of working inside TPRM programs, we'd heard the same frustration repeated by nearly every practitioner we'd ever met: the tools are terrible. Clunky, expensive, hard to configure, and built by people who've never run a vendor assessment in their lives.
We wanted to build something different. AI at the core, not bolted on. Designed by people who've lived the problem. And obsessively focused on making customers successful — not just sold.
We're bootstrapped, which means we answer to our customers, not a board deck.

Nate leads product and engineering at Docubark. He's responsible for the AI architecture that makes assessments possible in minutes rather than weeks.
